I bought a new Kingston 120GB SSD, I've installed it into my rig and it didn't show up straight away. So i browsed a bit and I found I had to go to disk manager to assign it a drive letter. Except disk manager won't let me do anything to it other than make new volumes and mirrors. Its seriously frustrating me.

Easiest and most reliable way is to boot off your windows install disk with Just the SSD connected and do a clean install. You can reconnect the other drive later but it's best to only have your intended boot drive connected when installing windows. I recommend starting over like this for many reasons.

If you want to copy your existing OS across you need cloning software, I've had my best results from Aomei partition magic personally but have also used Active@ and Acronis. This can be a lot trickier but if you never delete your old drive before testing out the new one you should be ok to give it a go.
