This is my first post on the forum. I'm really surprised that I haven't read much about the 2 480's vs the 1080 (and which motherboards will be able to take the heat). Any suggestions or comments? Thanks in advance.
There is also a spec to check out! Some motherboards have a SATA power input near the SATA data ports, it is used to give more power to the MoBo that will be given to the PCI slots! That's a cool feature. My MoBo has one but I think is useful only in XFire and SLI configs
There's suppose to be a fix for the excess power draw from the PCI slots on these cards, before jumping I'd see if it shows up and actually works. If so any mobo that supports XFire should be fine
