i7 4790k Cooler assessment

Ok so I put a new cooler on my processor. I just wanted to share my experience and see what you guys thought of the results.

I was on the stock cooler before and when doing things like video encoding I would see the processor hit 80c. Highest I've ever seen before was 83c. This worried me a little so I bought a cooler master D92 from microcenter:

Here are my results!

On idle right at start up 27c:

While running handbreak to encode a .iso dvd rip to mp4 59c:

Right as hand break was about to finish after running for five and half minutes 59c

Those are the average temps. You can see the individual core temps in the pictures. Never above 63c. I'm going to monitor it while gaming and encoding which is what this pc is used for. But from my immediate reaction it was a success!

Yep, this goes to show why you should generally avoid using the crumpled soda can they call a stock cooler if you plan on running CPU-intensive applications on anything higher-end than an i3.
