Hi I have an old desktop that my dad used but broke a while back. So since I had time this summer I decided to take a look at it. The symptom would be that the computer would boot to a black screen( No signal) not even to BIOS. So after searching through videos and forums I found the answer of the CMOS battery. So I took it out and the computer ran fine, therefore I thought it was a battery issue. Afterwards I purchased a new battery and replace it, and now it went back to the original problem. Could my bios be corrupted or something. I'm still kinda new to computer fixing and building. Thank you for your time.
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.

Solution
It is possible the Bios is corrupt, You can try to flash your Bios with an update.
I can guide you if you need assistance.

To do this I would need your MB specs and current Bios.
