I recently bought a pc, and I want to upgrade its ram because I go to art school and I want a decent powered pc for software such as photoshop, illustrator, sony vegas and some other editing softwares.

Here's a link the systems specs.

It is a Windows 7 Premium 64 bit.

I want to upgrade to 8gb of ram, is that possible, what do you suggest?

Your board can only work with DDR2 ram while you might've figured out by now that your already running the max ram capacity due to the motherboard. If you'd like to add more ram then you'd need to swap out the motherboard.

You could pick this board up, add a DDR3 32GB 1333/1600MHz kit and call it a day. I'd also ask you to look into a reliable PSU since the existing unit might've already been worn out.

On a final note, it seems like you're almost touching on a new build with all the resources spent. Pass on a budget and perhaps we could guide on a good path...? :)

You could get another mobo, but the X2 215 CPU you havewill be lucky if it can run 2x8GB of 1066 total, if wanting faster than 1066 would look at 2x4GB and expect to need to OC the CPU and add extra voltage to the MC, and even then it's a maybe
