Hello all, I've been looking through posts left and right and can't find a similar one to my problem. Here's the spill. I was playing dark souls 3 and my pc suddenly shut off. I was shocked and pressed the power button. The only response I got was a light on the power button. Well I started trying to figure out what went wrong. I opened the pc and hit the power button again. I see the indicator in the motherboard so I'm good there. I power down and remove my graphics card. After removing it my pc starts up fine. So I power down and plug my 1 of two six prong connectors to the gpu and nothing happens again. I move the 1 6 pin over to where the 2nd six pin adaptor would go. It starts up with gpu running but is deactivated because Windows detects a problem with graphics card. I do the exact test with the second 6 pin and the same result. Only the second port lets me power the gpu. Does this mean I need to replace the gpu or is my pic no longer able to power it fully? I have an Alienware x51 R2

X-64 based pc

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3041 MHz, 4 Core(s) 8 Logical Processor(s)

16 GB installed ram

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Ti OEM
Adapter ram (2,147,483,648) bytes

Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
Adapter ram (1,073,741,824) bytes

Power supply is external 330W ac adapter

These specs are either the gpu plugged into only the second 6pin port with the #1 pin

Should also mention that with the case open and both 6pins plugged in I see the gpu fan and pc fan barely move when the pc fails to start.

If any additional info is needed let me know!!

Thanks in advance

Solution
It may be a bad card or bad power supply, test the card in another system that can run it, will help rule out where the issue is. Chance of it being the motherboard also, but start with PSU and GPU.
