Recently bought a second hand gaming pc form the likes of wow and csgo. When bought it only had a 500gb hd. I have now bought a 850 EVO SSD and migrated all of the old hdd to this. Before I done this I was playing CS:GO with constant 30-50 ping but now it will randomly go up to 250+. I had to purchase a USB wifi dongle and thought this may have been the issue therefore took this back and got network adaptors that you plug into the mains. Working fine last night then suddenly spiked back up to 250+. If I close CSGO and do a speed test using speedtest.net it tells me 30ms and 15mbps. Go back into CSGO and its 250+.
Could there be a problem with the game duering the migration or is this a networking problem?
