Paperclip test, can it destroy a healthy PSU

If done correctly , won't damage a PSU.
It only determines there is power , but not a guarantee , the PSU is fully operational.

A properly designed PSU should be able to survive just about any fault across any combination of its outputs as required by the ATX spec. If the "paperclip test" causes it to fail, there is something seriously wrong with its design.
