Hi
Quick question as I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.
Can the psu test with a paperclip, damage a healthy PSU, or is it only recommended to do when signs of dead PSU starts occuring?
A properly designed PSU should be able to survive just about any fault across any combination of its outputs as required by the ATX spec. If the "paperclip test" causes it to fail, there is something seriously wrong with its design.
