Never built a computer before and I'm saving up to build my first desktop. I have never overclocked a processor and I would like to play current gen games (The Witcher 3) in high settings 1080p 60 hz refresh rate. Any suggestions on a build around $1000-$1400 USD?

8GB Ram
250-500GB SSD
Windows 10 Basic OS
GTX 1070 non founders edition

Hi, I recommend also getting a regular HDD, so you've got some large storage too. You'llbe amazed by how fast An SSD fills up :p. If you've got the budget, I'd choose Intel for your processor, a i5-6600 should do. I wouldn't overclock since that decreases the lifespan of your chip, and it powerfull enough already. With that I recommend a z170 motherboard so you've got room for upgrades in the...

You don't need to spend that much on a 1080p gaming pc. more like $800-$900. even at that price point you will be able to max out games. But I did build you a system at your requested price point since I don't know if you'll be doing anything else.

I recommend Corsair, they've got a lot of cases, and they're nice for beginners. I don't care about the PSU, but a lot of people Will disagree. Any 500 Watt one should do. 8 gigs of ram is enough for most games, but if you like to open a lot of tabs in chrome and stuff I recommend 16.

Here you have it! $1170 is what it turned out to be (With OS).
