So my friend has asked me to price him up a budget editing pc as his laptop isn't up to the job. He is willing to save up a little bit extra. He will mostly be recording/editing game play from indie type games. I tried to do it myself but ended up going over budget by about £500.

I will be building this myself to reduce costs too, so any advice on this would be great!

Thanks in advance :)

I know it's a bit over the budget but you shouldnt cut on those, such as SSD and VGA, unless basic basic gaming which you should be fine with worst VGA.I edited to have the RX470, which should be announced later this month.
