I have a ASUS reference 980ti and I want another to do SLI would I be better getting another reference or one with a standard fans.

Also is there any use of getting a hybrid 980ti or will having a reference limit the clock on that so there is no point in the extra cooling?

Solution
I have found that the reference models are best to SLI with , as they pull hot air out of your case.
I recommend you get another reference 980ti and SLI them , if your case can support a side fan , I would highly recommend you get one.
The hybrid is a great card and will run cool but it is also more expensive

Actually I would recommend an EVGA as your second card, the ASUS will get very hot if it's the top card in the sli setup but it stays nice and cool as the bottom card and the EVGA's cooling is good enough to put it on top where it will run around 80 degrees, but this depends on case cooling and space between the 2 gpu's.

If you decide to go the hybrid route for example if the space between your gpu's is less than 1cm a hybrid card on top would be better cooled than a fan only solution.
