Hi,
I am planning to buy a used z77 mobo (ASUS P8Z77-M) and found one on ebay. 'Only' issue is that the seller states:
"This motherboard worked great but one day the bios clock started counting fast and the time and date would reset when the power was turned off. Apparently a common problem to do with the BIOS and CMOS; might just need a new BIOS chip?"
The seller also says there is no visible damage (eg pins), nor can I see any via the pictures.

So I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough as to suggest if this is easy (eg battery change, CMOS jumper) or hard (eg. replace bios chip) to fix. I know this isn't really ideal as I can't physically have the mobo in hand to troubleshoot, but any help will be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the speedy reply. I thought that but was wondering if anyone had any other explanations. I'll stay away from it then. Thanks :)
