I am looking to upgrade my computer, mainly for video editing with Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects, also perhaps with Cinema 4D.
I will not be recording any footage (for example: games), and most of the editing will be motion graphics and 3D compositions.

My current build:
i5-3330s
gtx750
8GB of RAM

With a few discussions with my friends, I have thought about the ways to improve my performance. However I do not know what to buy first, as I do not have a big budget at the moment.
What I am considering to upgrade:
1. Buy an i7 (for example 4790K or 6700K)
2. Upgrade my RAM to 16GB or 32GB.
3. Upgrade my GPU (perhaps the gtx960, or the new AMD that's coming out?)

I am no expert, so I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of buying each product.

The 6700k or newer 6800K would be your best options as video rendering is VERY cpu intensive. IT can never have too much processing power. Ram increases will improve performance. Ideally you should go for 32gb, but its less important than the cpu for rendering. The gpu usage is kind of tricky and hard to gauge. Generally, as long as you have a dedicated gpu, you will be fine letting cpu do all the heavy lifting. There some exceptions as certain addons and filters AAE will abuse gpu and Cinema 4D does something similar depending on what plugins are being used.
