Hello, I am currently using my GTX 960 SSC, but I am upgrading my system(CPU, mobo, ram) and plan on making a jump to comfortable 1440p gaming. I don't plan on upgrading my GPU right now, probably within 3-4 months. I don't want to spend much more than $300 and I was wondering what the best graphics card for 1440p would be out of a lineup I found on ebay meeting my budget. I am mostly asking the community here because I'm not the biggest believer in gpuboss.
R9 290x - $200
RX 480 - $250 (assuming you can get one)
GTX 970 - $250
GTX 980 - $320
R9 390x - $320
Can anyone point me to the best card for medium/high 1440p gaming? Obviously the more expensive cards are better, but I don't want to spend more than I necessarily need to. Also, since I won't be buying a card for a few months, would the 980 ti drop down towards the $300 mark because of the release of the GTX 1000 series? Something to note is that I will most likely add another card for SLI/Crossfire eventually. Any feedback appreciated
