My FX6300 clock won't go past 4.2Ghz despite OC

I've OC'ed my FX6300 up to 4.6Ghz but CPU-Z and HWMonitor both tell me the cpu won't go past around 4.2Ghz.

Why is it? Is it throttling? My overall temp never goes past 60 ºC.

FX6300
8GB DDR3
1TB new HDD(can't recall its brand)
PSU: 500W
Onboard ATI Radeon HD3000

Do you have a asrock pro Motherboard?

Is it reading the same voltage that you have it set at in the bios. Make sure your turbo boost is not disabled. Also make sure all the power saveing settings are disabled.

I left the cpu voltage on Auto and the turbo boost is on. HWMonitor says the max cpu voltage so far is 1.25V, I've never seen it go over 1.25V. It seems like that's the current cpu voltage but as it's set to auto in the BIOS I'm not sure.

Take auto off and set them to manual for your vcore and Multiplier on all cores.

On HWMonitor the core voltage has got up to 1.35V max and the max clock reading is still just under 4.2GHZ. To achieve 4.6Ghz successfully, what voltage should I start with in the BIOS?
