I just updated to Windows 10 and tried moving the Windows.old folder the update created on my SSD to my larger HDD, but the transfer speeds I'm getting are painful. In total, the folder is 169gb and is currently writing at less than 500 kb/s (currently estimated to take more than 1 day). I realize there are lots of small files to write and hence a lot of overhead, but this seems a little ridiculous.
I updated my chipset drivers and AHCI is enabled. Is there any reason for the transfer to be going this slowly?
