F-Audio connector potentially blocking new GPU? (pics)

Hi everyone :)

I made a post a while back in regards to what GPU I could fit in my computer and discovered a mini 970 would fit at only 17cm. That's fine and there's no issue with that, however upon doing a final check inside my box before I bought the card I discovered that beneath my current 730gt is a chunky "F-Audio" cable (which I first thought was a power connector for the card) and is currently residing in a recess of the 730 gpu (towards the back side of the GPU there is no casing just board) and it doesn't seem to have any give unlike the other connectors in the vicinity of the PCI-e slot.

Unlike the 730 I currently have there is no recess on the board of the 970 mini to accommodate this plug. Rather it is a completely filled in rectangle.

Here is a pic of what I mean (connector circled in red): https://postimg.org/image/s52obweyv/

My question is can I remove this plug and leave it unplugged if the 970 mini wont fit with it in there, or is that a no no in terms of PC health? I don't tend to use the front audio jacks at all as I have bluetooth headphones and my system speakers use the back audio ports.

Or is there another way around this?

Thanks in advance:)

Solution
the front panel audio connector wires are very small diameter so will bend fairly easily to a fairly tight radius as well. you might need to remove a bit of the protective sleeving back to say here if that black sleeving goes all the way to the plug (Normally it doesnt go all the way down) http://www.pcityourself.com/images/content/building/frontPanelAudioUSB.jpg and they should bend over quite easily and can stick up only say 1/8" over the plugs themselves. generally i dont bend them, but as long as you dont bend the wires to a kink it should be fine.

thanks for the heads up on the post to box. it must auto-guess which section to put it in. i'll have to bring this up to our community guys and maybe it can get fixed in the future. i...
do you absolutely need a front audio connector? no, if you dont care about using the ports on the front of your pc associated with audio. i would check if the cable can bend over enough to be underneath the card though before removing.

moved to correct section as well

Thank you both for the help! Just when I thought I had another hurdle to get over haha. I shall go ahead an get my card then, but will see if I can make the F-audio cable bend before I disconnect it permanently should it prevent the new GPU fitting. On a side note how much is it safe to bend these said cables without causing damage? Obviously I would draw a line at obvious breaking point haha :p More in terms of the connectors not functioning right if they're at too much of an angle etc.

Also sorry about posting in the wrong area of the forum, I generally use the "post to community" box on the right hand side of the page and it doesn't ask where I want my thread specifically. Will make sure in future! :D
