Hello all. Along time gone but back again to ask ye another question if I may. I have 20gb of fully buffered DDR2 memory at 667 MHz quad channel in my rig and I was wondering if there would be a DDR4 ram that would be compatible. The Ram I have is server ram so I think this may be an issue. Any help would be very much welcome. My rig is a Dell Precision 690 Workstation, 0MY171 Motherboard, 2 Intel Xeon 5060 Dual Core
3.20Ghz processors, 20GB fully buffered DDR2 memory at 667MHz quad channel, Gigabyte geforce GTX 760 4GB GDDR5, Samsung 840 evo ssd 250gb 4TB storage HDD, 1Kw PSU. Thanks all.

Solution
No.

Your mobo can take a certain type of memory (2/3/4) and that's it. So if yours can take DDR2, then you are stuck with DDR2, to use DDR4 you need to change mobo and CPU.
