Hello! I'm experiencing a high-pitched noise coming from my computer whenever my external sound card (Focusrite Saffire Pro 40) is connected (via firewire). My computer came without any firewire ports, so I'm using a PCIe-card (Sunsway/ST Lab PCIe FireWire 2+1P m/).
It doesn't seem like it's a problem with the sound card itself, as I've tested the sound card on another computer, where I used the same PCIe-card, and there's no high-pitched noise coming from that computer.
