I've had this issue for some time now. My monitors (one is a 144hz with a DVI cable, the other 60hz with a HDMI cable) will randomly turn black, displaying the message "No signal detected". My computer does not turn off however, and I can still talk on Skype and listen to music most of the times this happens.

This happens somewhat randomly, but exclusively while playing video games. Today I played for for five hours without any issues, and then after taking an hour break it happened after fifteen minutes of playing.

Hard-restarting the computer immediately fixes the problem, waiting it out, turning on or off the monitors or un-powering the monitors has no effect.

My computer specs are: i7-4820k, GTX 780, 16 GB ram, Windows 8.

I monitored my temperatures and fans, and my graphics card didn't exceed 80 degrees celsius. It says that my CPU is 110 degrees, but that has to wrong as it states this upon turning the computer and while having 15% CPU usage. I've also checked for dust, but there's hardly enough to explain the issue.

Yesterday I also "refreshed" my computer, which means I reinstalled my graphics card drivers so I've also checked that.

As such I'm leaning towards some sort of hardware issue. However that's the extent to what I'm able to conclude, do any of you guys have any clue what it could be?

Thanks in advance, and I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the hardware aspect of PCs so please be easy on me!
