My pc wont start off if my new msi gtx 970 is plugged in

why doesnt this work??
i had an atx psu 620w but it didnt have 1x pcie 8 pin and an extra 6 pin so i bought the cx750 i also bought the 970 for upgrading(i dont care about the bottleneck since it wont affect the card that much) but it seems that theres short-circuit involved..i dont know if i m right tho
after i power the syster up the fan from the cpu works for half a sec and then nothing
if i disconnect the 970 the rig works just fine..any idea?
apu: 7850k amd
gpu: msi gtx 970
psu: cx750 corsair
mb: f2a88xm-d3h
ram: 2x 4gbs kingston hyperx 1600 mhz
ssd: 120 gb patrio blaze
hard drive: 250gb wd

Make sure the card is getting enough power.
Try plugging the card into another PCI slot on the motherboard.
Also try unplugging the power from the powersupply and take out the battery on the motherboard and let sit for about 10 minutes. That will clear your BIOS and that might help.

clearing my bios didnt seem to work.its either a psu problem or a short cicruit.i ll try the card out in a friends pc.now lets say that the card isnt getting enough power.would that effect the whole build? it wont even start off

im afraid of snaping the cables near the 2nd pci slot.my motherboard doesnt have a 3rd pci slot so i cant do much

Search for the f2a88xm d3h motherboard im currently using the upper pcie slot and its not working.but close to the 2nd pcie port there are fragile cables such as audio , usb , hdd , reset cables from the case.i cant realy fit the 970 in

it actually turned out that the card was the problem.not only the 8 pin had short circuit issues but the card wasnt even like new as stated on the condition on amazon.it was used,then it broke and it was sent back to the factory to get repaired..'reconditioned'.gj amazon.that wasnt included in the description i saw on the internet
