Hi people of the forum!

So i'm considering getting 4 of the new AMD rx 480 graphics card and run them using crossfirex, however I cannot find a suitable MB as i would that has an AM3+ socket and still has quad crossfirex.

Any help and points in the right direction would be appreciated, especially MB's that match that spec,
Many thanks

For some stupid reason I would like to run 4 RX 480's in crossfirex, could you recomend me another MB than that uses a suitable intel core, stating the core?

We're simply curious of what that "some stupid reason" is so that we can give you better advice for the specific situation, perhaps help you find a solution that's cheaper or better performing than your initial idea. In terms of total graphical performance, SLI and CFX don't scale well past two cards, meaning it's often better and cheaper to get two high-end cards than four lower performing cards. Not only that, but motherboards with proper support for four GPUs right now are mainly restricted to X99 boards, with a small handful of Z170 boards with the proper PLX switches. Those mboards are also much more expensive than other models, as are the CPUs for X99. So while you can get 4-way GPUs on an X99 board, you're spending $800+ on graphics, at least $250 on the mboard, and another $550 on the CPU.

I don't have exact numbers of course, but I doubt four 480s will give better performance than two 1080s, maybe even 1070s. And going with two cards means you can go with a much cheaper Z170 mboard and LGA 1151 CPU.
