Solution W W weberdarren97 Jul 6, 2016 As krells said, they will work together but you have no extra benefit from the extra power offered by the STRIX variant. I recommend getting a 1080 rather than 1070 SLI for multiple reasons. 1: SLI doesn't scale linearly. Adding a second card does not necessarily mean that you will get double the performance. 2: Not all games support SLI. Some games will only use one GPU even though you have a second one installed. 3: SLI systems need more power and may run hotter than single card systems.
