I've been unable to get 2x4GB sticks of RAM to run in dual channel mode. Right now the two sticks occupy blue slots 2 and 4 (with slot 1 being closest to the CPU), as the manual recommends. I've also tried swapping the two sticks (still in 2 and 4) and placing them in slots 1 and 3 (both black). Either configuration results in the bios recognizing the full 8GB of RAM, but when I boot to Windows, only 4GB is recognized.
CPU-Z shows that it's running in single channel mode, but it sees the full 8GB.
What I've tried:
While searching through the forums, I saw some posts that said a one or more CPU pins could be bent or broken. Does this seem like something I should check?
System specs:
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz C11 (Purchased as one kit)
Model number CMY8GX3M2A2400C11R
CPU: AMD FX-4350
Graphics card: MSI 7790
OS: Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit.

What I've tried:
■Installing the RAM in slots 1 and 2. This works correctly and gives me the full 8GB, but only in single channel.
■Searching through the bios for a manual setting to enable dual channel, I can't seem to find one, if it exists.
■Enabling/disabling XMP in the bios
■Clearing CMOS
■Updating the motherboard bios to the latest version, A.60
