So my computer has always been good for games, but recently it has been shutting down after five minutes of play. My PC has a good cooling system and when I check CoreTemp it is not over heating when the shutdown happens. I have also tried cleaning the inside and removing all dust but is still doesn't help. I have checked the event viewer on my PC and it lead me to pages online about Event log 6008 and InitiateSystemShutDownEx. Would whatever this is be the cause of the shut downs.

Check if the fan on your processor is tightly fit or if it has a broken screw or two. Sometimes it happens that the heat-sink becomes loose and so when the temperature goes high (eg. while gaming), the PC shuts down automatically in order to prevent damage to its components.
