I am trying to port forward my router for a minecraft server with the port 25565, however even if it appears so on the Asus network settings it does not show when I check it on websites like http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ . I have tried with and without having a static IP (My friend was able to still host a server despite not making it static). Along with that, I have tried:
1. Disabling all firewalls
2. Enabling DMZ
3. Disabling NAT Acceleration
4. Setting WAN Connection Type to static (caused a lot of problems, ended up having to factory reset)

As a heads up, I am not very knowledgeable of this kind of stuff, so I would very much appreciate simplicity in solutions. Here is my ipconfig.

Edit: If it helps, I have an Xfinity router/modem that I set to bridge mode for my Asus router.

Solution

It does remain an active rule on the router, but without the server to respond, you get a false negative on the test scripts.

Here is the button I clicked to set it to bridge mode, although I am unsure of what you mean by public IP address on the WAN of Asus, so here is a screenshot of the page for it if that helps.

If you look at the Network Map page on the Asus, it should show you the IP address. If it isn't a 192.168.x.y or a 10.x.y.z then you probably have a public IP address on the WAN and your Xfinity is working in bridge mode.

Yes, the WAN IP is not a 192.168.x.y or a 10.x.y.z so it is a public IP address.

It seems it has been working the whole time, as I stupidly thought that the port would remain open even without the server running. Thank you for the help anyways!
