Sapphire HD7850 Overheating after changing thermal paste

Hello there guys! Today I've decided to change the termal paste of my GPU, just because I haven't changed it since it was bough (3yrs ago) and after I applied brand new TP the temperatures gone crazy! With 0% load it's staying 45degrees, when before I added the new paste that was the temp it was staying on load. When I run valley bench on Extreme HD 1440p it goes to 100 degrees almost instantly, It wasn't like that before. It gone to 50-60 degrees maximum. I opened the card again, and double checked the paste, removed it and paste again. It is not too much I am absolutely sure, and it's not small amount on it. What can cause the probblem? The fans are running normally. Thanks! :)

Whats the method u used? Also some pics would help, u need to uninstall gpu from ur computer disassemble it and reapply the paste again, get as5 and clean the old paste, don't spread it with hand or credit card, use the pea or dot method and put the heatsink on and leave it on, don't remove it again, also check the vram thermal pads if their still there and are ok then fine otherwise order thermal Pads along with as5 kit, take ur time and when u put the dot or pea, put the heatsink on and leave it there it will do the spreading for u.

What drivers use?? Im buy a xfx 7950 and have high temps! 0% load 40° degress, and 100°+ in full load.

I'm downloading the old drivers . Maybe that's the problem

I did what exactly you did. The VRAM pads are absolutely fine, and still have heating probblems. It gets to 78 degrees in GTA5 on max load, I think its quite a lot. 0% load is like 45 degrees, it used to be 37. I still can't find a solution :(

I don't think that the drivers are probblem. I uninstalled them and it was the same.
