I just built my computer in November of 2015, Already I have made some big upgrades including a water cooler and ssd. After looking at my build and running some performance programs, I have found the only big thing holding me back from recording or VR is my graphics Card: 750ti FTW EVGA. Because of this I was looking into the Nivida 1070 card, but then I heard about the 1060 being released, and Amd's Polaris Card. So that brings me here, After looking at my build What would you guys do. Also i am open to other cards theses where just the ones i have looked at.

Okay, so the monitor is 1080 @ 60Hz. That's good to know.

Given the issues AMD has seen with its RX480, I would steer clear of that GPU.

I would either keep an eye on when more 1070's become available, or wait for the 1060.

What monitor are you using? When considering which of the new GPUs you'd like to pair with your system, we'll need to know what resolution and refresh rate your monitor is, and if you are planning to upgrade your monitor in the future.

The Main Monitor I am using is a bit older but still good: Dell ST2321L 23-Inch Screen LED Monitor.
