So, I've been using laptops for a while now and since my current laptop is outdated and can't play ANY games I want to play at the moment, I've been looking at a build for a stationary gaming pc.

Here are the specs:

Motherboard: ASUS H110M-A, small but enough for me I think.

Power supply: Corsair VS Series VS550 - 550W, should be enough.

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600 3.30 GHz (3.90 GHz Turbo)

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 960 4GD5 Turbo

Cooler: Not sure if I need an aftermarket cooler for this CPU, but I've been looking at a cheap one "Alpenföhn Sella 92mm" if necessary (I won't be overclocking).

RAM: Either G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4 GB 2133 MHz DDR4 or Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4 GB 2133 MHz DDR4.

Storage: 1 TB HDD 7200 RPM

Games I will be playing:
Grand Theft Auto V (High settings)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (High settings)
Call of Duty: Ghosts (High settings)
Guild Wars 2 (High settings, kinda CPU intensive game)
League of Legends (Any potato can run this game on max settings)

Also, if u could help me decide which RAM sticks I should get and why, it'd be greatly appreciated :)

Fair enough. I'm not familiar with prices in Denmark, but i'll post a couple of part lists below.

The first is a Xeon build. You cant overclock this chip, but it has 4 physical cores with Hyper-Threading. The i5 you selected is nice, but no HT. Most games wont take advantage of the extra cores, but it's the same price in the US so why not have extra cores? If you can get this CPU similarly priced to the i5, then it is worth it.

Motherboard: ASRock H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($69.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (1 x...

Well, pc components are more expensive in my country, so this is what I came up with at £782.68. I have £800 to do with but the rest is for a keyboard.

The second is a newer build using skylake. You can overclock with this build, and it's also more future-proof.

Both part-lists are under $800 USD, so it should give you some wiggle room for your $1000 budget if the parts are indeed more expensive for you.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions.
