If I don't overclock anything will my stock heatsink suffice? I'm currently using the hyper 212 evo (not near my machine but I think that's what it's called) but it barely fit in my mid tower case, I had to break one of the studs on my case that holds the side fan on my apevia x trooper case. I'm buying a new case soon and hope I don't come across the same problem. So will I run into any problems if I use the stock heatsink? I have the FX 8350

Solution
For that CPU, you should use the 212 EVO. The stock cooler is noisy and bad.
Most cases fit the EVO wihtout issue, but, to make sure, add the case you want to get to the part list i'm linking. pcpartpicker will tell you if the cooler won't fi in it.
