After installing my GT 610 my PC has been slowed down drastically. For example it takes 3 minutes to open chrome and 40 seconds to open the menu when right clicking on the desktop. GPU-Z says the the load on my GPU is only 1%. Games run fine though with the GT 610.

Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93Ghz CPU
GT 610 GPU
2GB DDR2 667Mhz RAM
MSI G31TM-P35 Motherboard
WD Caviar Blue 250GB & 320GB HDD
350W PSU

Solution

Thats because the system keep some RAM free so it doesn't crash. And it does that by using the pagefile on your HDD, which is slowing usage down severly. You may contradict me all you want, it's not going to change the reality of the matter.
I'm guessing you're also on Win 7 which is memory hungry compared to W10 32 bit which was programmed with low power devices in mind(tablets etc).

didnt know that, sorry for being mean. I just never knew about that! ill slelect your answer as the best answer

You're welcome!
To sum things up: if you want to have a good experience get another 2 gigs of ram and upgrade to Win10 x64, or, atleast, migrate to Win10 32-bit.
