Gtx 960 gives 3 beeps and black screens

Recently I got my new GTX 960 gigabyte wind force OC 4gb, and I put it in my pc but soon as I boot up it has the first beep as a successful startup, but then I see my manufacturer's name Gateway and I can't press Bios or boot options. Then 3 beeps happened with a 25-30 second interval between each beep and the last beep takes me to a black screen with a blinking underscore at the top left. Pls help I really don't want this card to go to waste!!

Yea I tried upgrading my motherboard's bios but nothing happened. My system is a DX4870 by gateway and it's prebuilt. It works and boots fine with my gtx 650 and gtx 465 but when I put my gtx 960 that happens..
