I don't plan on upgrading it just yet, but when we do, I plan on doing it one piece at a time, so if possible, tell me which part to upgrade first, and then second, third, etc. I will outline all of the specifications, and seeing as I don't really know which upgrades to pick, which are the best for budget (Under $200 per part (Under $100 if possible for something that's considerably better than what I have in my friend's rig), so if somebody can help, that would be VERY much appreciated. I am pretty sure this computer needs an upgrade or three) I would build a whole new one from scratch, but some of the stuff inside of it is still perfectly good and we can't really afford a new one, which is why I asked for a piece-by-piece upgrade and which to pick first, as that's kind the way we have to go.

  • CPU: i7 920 ($200 MAX for new CPU)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8800GS ($150 MAX)
Audio: (Literally just "High Definition Audio Device" but I think it's a Connexant?) ($150 MAX)
    Motherboard: ASUSTeK P6T Deluxe (LGA1366) ($150 MAX)
Storage: WD 500GB WD5000AAKX-00ERMA0 (I have like 3 other ones including a Seagate Barracuda 7200 (I'm good on HDDs)
    RAM: 12GB Triple Channel DDR3 @ 534MHz (7-7-7-20) (Product: OCZ OCZ3G1333LV2G ($80 MAX)
    PSU: OCZ2700SXS ($125)

I looked up a lot of the parts, and the majorityseem to be quite Sub-Par. T_T TIPS PLEASE? :D

Also PLEASE NOTE: This computer will be used for AUDIO RECORDING (Studio Audio Recording so please help me pick what will give me the lowest latency using our FocusRite 2i2 1st Gen)

Holy crap, that looks AWESOME! What do I need to upgrade first though.... like what needs it the most? As I said, I gotta upgrade one part at a time, as this shit is pretty much gonna be upgraded 1 part per 2 months. XD

I would get the parts like this depending on your current psu wattage

1 gpu
2 psu
3 soundcard
4 motherboard and cpu and ram doesn't really matter since you need all of these to make your new system work.

The motherboard does have audio boost studio grade sound built in if you wanted to save some money.
