Is this a good pre built PC?

Solution
$570
+GPU - $200
+PSU - $75
+LAN interface - $20 (included is only 10/100. You need 10/100/1000)

Creeping up on $900
You could build much better for $900 of individual parts.

1. Don't think he needs a $75 PSU
2. Lan interface? Explain please.

1. And what size/quality PSU were you thinking to go with whatever GPU? PSU is where you don't want to cheap out.

2. The LAN interface on that HP is only 100 megabits. If you ever want to connect to some oth device on the house LAN, you want a 10/100/1000 interface. gigabit.

That one is $65 at Newegg. Not much off my initial "$75"
And I'd go with something else completely.
Corsair CX series has gone downhill in the last couple years.

It's not me but for a friend. He saw this PC in his email so he wanted to see if it was good or not.

True that. Before I knew even anything about PC parts and what was good. I used to look at all these pre built a cause didn't even know you could build a PC. When I looked at them I was like omg that's so good (even tho I know nothing xD) and I used to think cyber power was a good company (LOL). Then my friend convinced me to build one cause he had just built one last summer and his PC is overkill lol. I guess it's more future proof? Then part by part I started learning more and more about them and I asked a lot of questions on this site asking if this is good or if that is good such. But these people have really been a good help in my learning process.
