Minecraft FPS drops 5 seconds into the game every time.

Hi, whenever I start minecraft my game seem to drop to like 5 fps. Normally on the settings I play on I can play at 120-180+ fps. I was playing fine about a week ago but now it is unplayable. I just reinstalled minecraft, allocated 4gb of ram into it, and have no texture packs on. PLEASE HELP ME.

Specs:
Screen Resolution: 1920x1080
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2GB
CPU: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition GDDR5 @ 4.2GHZ
8GB (4GBx2) DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0

run a benchmark as thats not the most reliable psu see how that is
what is your cpu cooler? and can you monitor cpu temps
can you install optifine as minecraft without it is a single core game given that your cpu has 8 weak cores means that when using one core its not going to run well so with optifine it may fix your issue by allowing the use of all 8 cores
