So ive been using my 2014 Gigabyte motherboard since well, 2014. Today I was in a skype call working on Photoshop and suddenly the Ethernet stopped working. The green light that usually lights up on the pc was no longer on and no longer was connected to the internet. I restarted the router, unplugged and re-plugged in all peripherals and tried to uninstall and update the ethernet drivers, however to no avail, I even purchased a new cable. My router says the internet is fine, however even with the old cable I couldn't connect to the Ethernet on my laptop either leading me to believe it was a cord issue, but so far im stuck without internet on my desktop. Please help!

When going into network and internet in control panel in the ethernet realtek PCIe GBE family controller option. It states that the network cable is unplugged. Same goes for my "ethernet 2" in which I only have one ethernet port so thats somewhat confusing.
