So ive just bought a new gpu (gtx950sc) and ive been having problems with games not running at high fps even at low settings, which this card can handle. But everything seems to be slow on my pc right now and ive heard about bottleneck, but it there a reason why my pc is super slow even at loading rust which was fast to load but impossible to play with my old integrated graphics r5

Ive installed the latest drivers.
Pc specs: •cpu(apu actually) radeon a6 7400k
•Gpugtx 950sc+
•2x4gb ddr3 ram+single 4gb
•Max psu 500w
•Windows 10 pro_dont know if it matters tho

Solution
GTX 970

Don't return the gpu. The GTX 950 is fine. Just buy a better cpu. Get an i3 it won't bottleneck. But if you're going to buy a GTX 970 in the future, buy an i5.

Yes, you have a major bottleneck right now. The a6 7400k is an old cpu. Not suitable for gaming. I'd recommend an i5 if you wanted better performance. Ditch that CPU and get a better one.

so should i try to overclock the CPU or just return the gpu and focus on a CPU first then buy a GPU
and i dont exacly have a budget more than 120-140$ for a new CPU
