Will a DisplayPort (Male) to VGA (Female) adapter work on a GTX 1070?

Hello everyone!

So, I recently bought a GTX 1070, and I'm planning to use an old VGA monitor that I have as second screen.

The problem is: this monitor only has VGA input, and seems like that the GTX 1070 does not outputs analog signals. It means I'll need an active adapter/converter.

So I was looking for a DP to VGA adapter, and I found something like it: http://bit.ly/29rdj8O

I'm not buying exactly this item in this store, but they all seems the same.

I know that they work, but they'll work on a "non-analog GPU"? I'm not sure if it is an active adapter.

Thanks!

Edit: If it helps, my GPU is a Gigabyte G1 Gaming

It should work but as with all things from china you can not be 100% I would definitely risk a few dollars on it... If you read what it says in the listing it says it is powered from the DP port (making it an active adapter).

I've just got the same GPU and the same problem, did you get the converter? or found a solution?

The adapter arrived today (yeah, took a huge time), but it works fine. The only problem is that the screw holes are bigger than the default VGA screws size. So I tied them with a elastic and it is running fine.
BTW, the GFX recognizes it as a VGA port.
