Okay, so my graphics card has only 1 HDMI port, and I would like to add another monitor. Is there a way to add another HDMI port to my graphics card to use it for the 2nd monitor. Like a splitter, or something?
The only way to do it is via DP to HDMI active adapters. You can't add HDMI ports to the card directly, and I don't think HDMI supports daisy chaining.

Unfortunately either you have to upgrade your GPU, add new GPU. You can not add extra ports unless you use an adapter that split HDMI ports (Which is not recommended)
Well, my GPU also has like 4 display ports, so could I use just like a DisplayPort to HDMI convertor?
Yes you can since they both carry digital signals so the quality reduction wont be much,

Most also have dvi so he may not need to buy anything. Some people think hdmi is better somehow or there's some other misinformation. Do not assume anything when trying to give tech support. You'll run into more issues than you want.
