I have an AMD FX-6300, and I have recently overclocked it to 4.5 ghz at 1.35v. I ran it on prime95 for 2 hours without a crash, so I then decided it was stable. I played arma 3 for 4 hours on it without a crash, but then I went to play league of legends, and it froze on the screen and I was forced to shut off the computer. I then tried playing Brawlhalla and Overwatch, and the same issues occured. However, When I restore my bios settings to default, reverting my overclock, the games run completely fine. I am wondering if this is a compatibility issue somehow but right now I am stumped. I just want to get more frames on some of the video games and this is kind of annoying. I dont think its a problem with the overclock itself because it is able to run on prime95 without crashing but when playing some games it crashes. Also, playing CSGO doesnt make my computer crash. Thanks for any support.

Prime 95 is not always able to show an instability, if you have tings active like cool and quiet or turbo boost, this will be in different power states that you haven't tested before, allowing your PC to crash whenever this become active, disable both of these and try again.

Also disable your motherboard power saving features like EPU in the case of ASUS motherboards.

I doubt its your PSU, try raising your voltages some more, 1.38v is the minimum stable I need for that speed in my vishera, in the end I have it at 1.4 jut to maximize stability in games.

I'll try that right now and I'll let you know how it works out.

Set my voltage to 1.4v, loaded up overwatch and played a full game without a crash. I then closed overwatch and opened up Brawlhalla and tried to join a game and my computer froze. Switched the voltage to 1.43 and same error occured on the main menu.

Thanks, that seemed to fix it. Set it to extreme, and played Brawlhalla and Overwatch with no freezes. Still have to try league though, but I assume that it will work as well as the others. Thank you a lot for the support!
