Is my computer worth throwing a good graphics card into?

I have an older computer (see details at end of post) that I want to upgrade to 3 or 4 monitor setup. I work from home and having an additional screen or two would really help when juggling tasks. I also play some games from time to time, and do some very light video editing.

I really don't want to spend over $200 and would rather save my money, but then again, I would like to play my games at higher-resolution and not deal with a lot of the crap I normally deal with. I'm worried buying a better performance card isn't going to be worth it because the rest of my PC is older and not able to keep up. What do you guys think? Any recommendations on a video card?

My current PC:
128gb SSD main hard drive (extra storage drives too)
8gb DDR3 1600 Ram
AMD Athlon II X4 Quad-core 3.0 ghz
Sapphire ultimate Radeon HD 6670 1gb 128bit GDDR5
Asus M4A87TD EVO AM3 motherboard

Thanks!
