So I have just finished my first pc build, and booted up the ASUS BIOS after turning it on. Everything seems to be detected excepting my gtx 1070, which is neither lighting up or turning fans on, and is not found in BIOS. Does anyone know why this might be? Thanks

Solution
Well, you'll need to install Windows and the Nvidia drivers for the GTX 1070. That should enable all if its features. Good luck.

I think I may have not fully plugged it in, as I have only plugged in a single 6 pin connector. However, I cannot see another socket anywhere on the card. It is an MSI 1070 ARMOR, but I can't see online how many power pins it needs

Apologies, you are right it is an 8 pin. I haven't installed Windows yet, so not sure how that will work, but the BIOS can be viewed fine? I have am EVGA SuperNova 650W PSU. The real confusion now is that the card warmed up noticeably, but when I enter the BIOS, it tells me in the Tool\Graphics Card section, when I go into GOP/VBIOS Status to "Select a Valid GPU", but displays no option. However, when going into the GPU post, it says there is a NVidia GPU running at x16 native. Sorry if I'm just being dumb
