Hi folks.
I'm thinking of getting a mini pc to use as a backup server, overnight copying data from a NAS to a couple of external USB drives. This is basically all the mini box will do.
I'm wondering if I'll have a problem with the lifespan of the ssd, would I be better off using a Mac mini that has a far simpler os?

Thanks.

Depends on how you're going to be backing things up, but generally, if you're going to be copying directly from the NAS to a USB drive, there will be no writes on the internal storage, so the life of the SSD shouldn't be affected.
