I'm not good with computers and my stepdad is putting together my new upgrade, the cx750 corsair psu I have doesn't seem to have a 4 pin atx cable.

My step dad said I have a 8 pin one but need it for my 960

Here is my specs :
Gigabyte H81M - S2H
Corsair CX750
GTX EVGA 960
8gb of ram
Samsung 850 evo
1 generic hdd

Solution
You should have a 8 pin EPS connector.
You just plug in the 4 pins that fit into the motherboard and leave the others hanging.

For the graphics card, I think you should have 4 6+2 connectors.
That is what gets connected to the graphics card.

Alright, I'll try that when he gets back from the store

I only brought a new psu as I had a cheap brand one and when I got the new parts, the hard drive started smoking

I think it was because the way I unplugged it or something, but it posed before the HD was plugged in

And yes, I did throw it away
