Below is my build for my GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 or whatever it's called. It's total price sits under 480 dollars WITHOUT the GPU because I already have the GPU. I was wondering if this build would bottleneck anything and if any other components would be better for another without increasing the price. I was planning on having the price under 450 dollars. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you find a better case for cooling or a better CPU and MOBO that would be especially appreciated

PSU is low quality, for EVGA you want a B2,G2,GS,P2,PS or T2 model. And no there's no bottleneck.

EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold

For around $500 you could get a i5-6500/16gb DDR4. Also I don't think you can overclock that i5-3570K on that Q77 MB.

Corsair CX Series, CX600, 600 Watt (600W) Power Supply, 80+ Bronze Certified https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0092ML0OC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_X-8FxbT92ZYRJ
how does this look too?
Also what different would a locked 6500 and 16 gb of ddr4 ram? Ddr4 doesn't really attract me enough to switch out the whole CPU and MOBO

With a I5-3570K you can get added performance if you will overclock.
Unfortunately, a Q77 motherboard does not permit proper cpu multiplier overclocking.
'You would need Z77, P68, P67, or Z75.
Here are the differences:

Really, with skylake available, I would not build buying new parts from old generations.

Skylake I3 or I5 would be my choice. Most any lga1151 motherboard will do.
Only if you buy a top end I5-6600K would you need a Z170 motherboard.

Corsair CX aren't very good units. Your 3570K may be unlocked but if its on a locked MB then there's really no way of overclocking it. Gaming performance you probably won't be able to tell the difference between them when paired with that GTX 970, figured I would just offer newer tech if you only have your GPU considering prices are fairly close.
