Oh, if it's just those games, you have nothing to worry about. Keep that PSU and save your money for something else.

It can have the same amount of wattage, yes, refer to this list on power-supplies:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

tl;dr: Antec, Seasonic, EVGA, Corsair, NZXT, and Cooler Master are pretty much the best you can get.

i only play League of Legends, CS GO and Overwatch. i don't know if these games fall on the "lite" category or not. should i just spend on tier 1/2 PSU just to be safe?

Your board has core unlocker so if you see a PhenomIIx2,X3 or athlonIIx2,X3 (MUST BE 512KB L2 CACHE THE 1MB L2 CACHE PER CORE CPU IS THE SAME AS THE ONE YOU HAVE NOW.) locally for really cheap it's worth taking a chance.

$15 example of a athlonII X2 215 that could unlock to a X4.

$45 PhenomII X4 B95 3.00GHz

You could also buy your cpu cooler now. Pick out a large air cooler or really good water cooling kit.
Put a cooler intended to run a FX-8320@4.4ghz@180watts on it.
1.Drop your ht bus and memory speed manually to the second lower one.(keep the same memory timings as the faster speed)
2. Set your voltage to 1.50volts. Increase your memory voltage a bit too.
3. Increase your fsb by 10mhz until it wont post. Hit the startup button a bunch of times until the board bails and says your overclock settings have failed. Go back into the bios and set it at the last speed it booted up at.
4. Boot into windows and test with prime-95 for about 10 mins. If it fails drop the fsb by 2mhz and retest it.
5. If it passed, increase it by 2mhz until one core fails during testing. Then drop it by 4mhz and retest it.
The cpu you have now is known to overclock very well.

-Your board might not work well with the fx cpu because they draw more power than the athlonII and phenomII cpus.
Be a careful when overclocking the phenomII or fx, the board can only supply so much power.

Option#2 is you sell your board+cpu+hd6450 card and buy a new cpu+board.
OFFER YOUR MEMORY FOR A EXTRA $20 SO YOU CAN GET A FASTER 8GB KIT.
reuse your memory if they do not buy it.

Actually i think this is a better idea and also there is no overclocking to deal with. Also the i5-2400 is faster than the fx-8320E@4.4ghz.

$0 Reuse your memory.

$100 Intel Core i5 2400 Quad 3.10GHz

$40 Biostar socket 1155 board.

Or.
$55 intel 1155 board.

$15 Deepcool GAMMAXX 200T 54.2 CFM CPU Cooler
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/J68H99/deepcool-cpu-cooler-gammaxx200t
Or the $29 larger one above.

-Also your budget 450watt power supply will work better with a lower wattage i5 than a higher wattage phenomII or FX cpu.

You must update the bios while still running your athlonII 260 so it will support the FX cpus.
It maxes out at 125watts so your limited to how much a fx will overclock.

-If your going to do a cpu swap, that $15 athlonII 215 is by far the cheapest.
You can resuse your oem cooler you have now with that cpu. It should unlock to a X4 with a extra 0.05volts.
That would double your cpu speed for only $15.

I would stick with the $45 phenomIIx4 and a new cooler, the $15 deepcool would work or the $29 one.
Most of the games you mentioned only use up to 4 cpu cores and the older PhenomIIx4 is faster per core than the fx cpu is. It's also way cheaper.

Or go the i5 route. ALSO NO BENT PINS TO WORRY ABOUT BECAUSE SOCKET 1155 INTEL i5'S USE PADS INSTEAD OF THE AM3'S PINS.

PLEASE NOTE THAT USED IS TAKING A CHANCE TO READ THE REVIEWS AND STUFF.
