The Intel HD 520 integrated GPU is definitely the bottle-necking piece of hardware, yet the benchmarks for it say that it can run games such as CS:GO well over 60 FPS and League (high settings) at a constant 60 FPS.

I'm getting 10-25 fps on CS:GO and even less on Overwatch. It's unplayable.

I have all my drivers up to date including Windows 10. I have the laptop plugged in and power management on performance mode. I got the laptop brand new yesterday, no bloatware. Runs everything but games swimmingly.

I appreciate any troubleshooting tips.
Thank you!

Well the ram running at basically half speed because of it.

Your GPU shares that ram, so having it in single channel is pretty impactful.

Yeah, iGPU really sucks at gaming. I have a laptop that has iGPU (HD Graphics 4400) and GTX 850M. I can only play CS (the original one) at 720p and only get 25-40fps with the iGPU. Try playing at 720p and you may be good.

Hm.
Having single channel ram will hurt the integrated graphics performance.

Can you confirm you have two sticks of ram installed, and that you are running in Dual Channel mode?

You can take a look at the Task Manager Performance tab for this info, as well as dxdiag, cpuz etc.

Thank you!

Yeah it's only using one slot/stick (not dual channel). Would that really hurt my performance that much? I can't get over that the benchmarks for my GPU are SO much better than what I'm getting and those benchmarks were ran with worse specs...

Thanks again!
