Good evening,
I am looking at building a new gaming PC as my current PC is just over 5 years now. Here is what I was thinking. Budget is between $1250-$2k.

The only thing I'm firm on are a white case and quiet. I tend to use Corsair and Asus as I haven't had any issues with any of their parts the last decade or more. I have had my monitor for quite a while and am used to 1080p. Not sure if I really need to move up to 1440P or even 4k. I have yet to see any of my friends play 4k so cant vouch it adds a tremendous amount or not.

Parts already owned:
Monitor: Asus VG248QE 144HZ
Sound Card: Asus Xonar Essence STX
Razor mouse and keyboard

Any thoughts, feedback, or suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Solution
You can get Windows 10 Pro for less than $30 - http://cheapdigitaldownload.com/windows-10-professional-digital-download-price-comparison/
I suggest getting the 850 EVO SSD.
I added 32GB 3200MHz white LPX ram kit from corsair.
Also i suggest getting the EVGA P2. Comes same 10 years warranty as RM550X but you get platinum efficiency and a arguably better power supply.
Cryorig H7 is more than ok for the i7 6700k. Also comes with white fan, so goes with your build.

My suggestion -
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($345.88 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($43.53 @ Amazon)
Thermal Compound:...

Thanks for all the suggestions and replies. I do have an extra 1TB drive ill toss in there so I appreciate that Trafalgar747. Appreciate the comment burgessanthony for the SSD. I'm not convinced I want to spend so much on a hard drive, so the EVO might be in the running for sure.

I'll take a look at the list Inkiad. Appreciate all the work!! I don't know much about EVGA power supplies so ill look them up. I just know Corsair was really good back in the day.
