I have a problem with my computer, All of a sudden it slowed down massively, I've done several scans with my AntiVirus program but its turned up nothing.

My main problem is that sometimes my computer freezes for for a few moments then it goes back to normal. The weird thing is that if I have youtube playing a song in the background while my computer freezes the music keeps playing uninterrupted.

My browser also freezes into an unresponsive script, but I'm not sure if that's connected with my main problem. The browser I use is FireFox updated to its latest version with the latest ShockWave, Adobe, and Java.

As said I've scanned my computer using my AntiVirus program which is kaspersky total security, MalwareBytes Premium, and SuperAntiSpyware, All at different times, Nothings come up in the scans. I've used CCleaner to fix any registry issues it might find, I've also use CCleaner to clean up any loose files I probably didn't need.

My Current Computer Specs are:

Intel 4770k Overclocked 4.5Ghz
Msi Gaming Z87-G45
8Gb Ram G.Skill
Cpu Cooler Hyper 212 Evo
Evga Gtx 760 SC Acx 2.0 Stock
Windows 7 64Bit
1Tb HDD Boot
+ Many other HDDs

I know that one of my problems is that I don't have an SSD yet, But I plan on getting one soon and then upgrade to Windows 10.

Another problem that's recent is that something is eating my Ram, I have 8Gb of ram but even when I'm doing nothing my Ram usage is near maxed out at 70%-85%. It wasn't always like this, I know that 3 weeks back I had a virus of some sort and my AntiVirus caught it and did a Malware Rollback. After that my problems seemed to start. I've since then scanned and re-scanned to see if anything else was left behind but none of my scans have found anything. My solution to my ram problem for now is to Upgrade to my max capacity that my mobo can handle which is 32Gb.

I used to think that my problem was Plex with the media scanner going off, but in the resource manager and memory manager says otherwise.

Is there a program that can scan my computer and find any problems that I may have?

Hi,

I have some ideas will list them and hope they will work.

To begin with, since you mentioned that your problems started after the antivirus rolled back the virus, I think it didnt completely. As I had some malware got into my pc and Kaspersky total security couldnt remove it except made things worst with all these red warnings! Maybe there is a left overs that throttle your pc and causing all these issues (might cause the problem with the freezing too). You can check in task manager what is eating your ram , also you might see a service that you dont recognize (maleware or virus leftover).

I'll try the repair windows option.

kaspersky Total Security 16.0.0.614 is the Antivirus I'm running.

Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 64Bit OS

Well I tried the windows repair it came up with files being modified and that it couldn't repair them.

Not sure what I should do now.

I didn't have a restore point either so that was out.

Should I wait till I get my new SSD and do a reinstall on the SSD then upgrade to windows 10, then wipe my current C drive?

Or is there something I can do now while I wait till I get paid on the 15th of July.

The worst thing when there are modified files mainly OS files. If you are getting SSD soon, dont bother reinstalling or fixing this OS. As I think the current situation and modified files will need to reinstall windows -> updates...etc.
But to be safe and if you have important data, I would suggest find a malware scanner scan your pc until you get the new SSD!
