I'm wanting to get a 1080 as soon as I can, but I'm unsure of which PCB to get (definitely not getting overpriced founder's edition). Does anyone have any idea which 1080 PCB is most powerful? I've been looking at the xtreme gaming card by Gigabyte, amp edition by Zotac, and FTW edition by EVGA. I'll be gaming on a 1440p 144hz monitor... Any answer is much appreciated! Thanks for reading!

What do you mean by "most powerful"? They all get about the same speed OC wise, regardless of brand and model currently. The extra power connectors and VRMs on custom PCBs don't currently seem to make one model faster than other models. The "silicon lottery" and voltage limitation from Nvidia keeps these pretty much the same speed. I would choose based on the brand you prefer, looks, fan layout, and warranty coverage.

No one really knows yet. It's one thing to throw out a bunch of stats, claiming the highest OC and another thing entirely when it comes to the custom pcbs and other various components being able to deliver those stats under stress and not throttle due to badly designed cooling or theft of prior cooling designs not up to the task. You'll have to wait for the pros to get their hands on production cards from the major partners and punish them right. On the other hand, when it comes to those enthusiast class cards, the differences in reality are slim, a few fps at best, but honestly it'll boil down to aesthetics. Which performs well at a decent price, looks good, has a decent amount of OC headroom, doesn't overheat easily or sound like a freight train when pushed.
